How to calculate electrical units per electrical device and money cost.


Most of equipment have there specific input voltage and power rating(230v-150w ,what you should do first, calculating the total power rating of all  device.

 Example

 Device      power rating

 Television = 150w
Fan = 50w
Radio = 80w
AC = 200W
Bulb = 20w

 Calculate the total power rating
150+50+80+200+20=500w

 Total power rating =500w
Find unit for 1 hours and 6 hours

For 1hrs
Total unit per time = power rating*time
                              =500w*1hrs
                              =500whrs
Divide by 1000 answer should be in Kwhrs
                              = 500whrs/1000
                              =0.5kwhrs

 For 6hrs
Total unit per time = power rating*time
                              =500w*6hrs
                              =3000whrs
Divide by 1000 answer should be in Kwhrs
                              = 3000whrs/1000
                              =3kwhrs

 Cost = total unit per time * price
OR   = power rating*time*price

example 1kwhrs = 6.3 us dollar 

 For 0.5kwhrs
        = 0.5*6.3
        = 3.15 us dollar

 For 3kwhrs
        = 3*6.3
        =18.9 us dollar
